- Are items authenticated?
- Every lot is vetted by our experts at the source before it's listed, and every item passes through ShopThing's authentication center before it ships — no exceptions. If anything fails authentication, it's pulled and you're refunded in full.
- What condition are items in?
- Each lot carries a condition grade and detailed photos. Read both before bidding so the wear level is clear — there are no surprises.
- What's included in the price I bid?
- One price, no hidden fees: what you bid is what you pay, plus applicable sales tax based on your shipping address. Auction fees, import duties (for US addresses), and shipping from Japan are all baked in. Canadian customers pay customs duties to the carrier on delivery — these aren't included in the bid.
- How does bidding work?
- Place a quick bid at the current minimum, or set a max bid and let ShopThing bid for you up to it — your maximum is never shown to other bidders, and you only ever pay what's needed to win. Bids are binding and can't be retracted. If you win, ShopThing purchases the piece, authenticates it, and ships it to you.
